Roman Abramovich will welcome Carlo Ancelotti to Chelsea this summer with a huge transfer war chest.

The Italian coach is set to join Chelsea with plans to sign Spain striker David Villa and Russia star Yuri Zhirkov already at an advanced stage.

Valencia have previously resisted approached for Villa but financial difficulties mean they may have to cash in this summer.

They are closing in on the £15m signing of Zhirkov from CSKA Moscow - a club that Abramovich enjoys a close relationship with.The pursuit of the 'Russian Ronaldinho' dates back to last summer's European Championship and was revealed by Sportsmail at the turn of the year.

Another big spending is expected at bridge at the end of season regardles where chelsea finish this season.Rivals in EPL and around Europe should be aware of this.
