Federico Macheda sent Manchester United into orbit with a winner against Aston Villa

MANCHESTER UNITED 3-2 ASTON VILLA

The pressure was on Manchester United after two recent defeats as they met Aston Villa. It wasn't looking good when they fell 2-1 behind, but Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late leveller. Then, unknown youngster Federico Macheda scored a stunning stoppage time winner for the Red Devils...

Villa looked certain victors once John Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor had overturned Cristiano Ronaldo's opener.

Macheda's Magic moment

But Macheda's arrival changed the course of the game. Ronaldo brought United level 10 minutes from time before the young Italian turned onto Ryan Giggs' pass and produced a brilliant finish.

JO bags double as Everton maul Wigan

EVERTON 4-0 WIGAN

Everton cruised to their biggest win of the season as they further cemented sixth place in the Barclays Premier League with a 4-0 defeat of Wigan at Goodison Park.

The visitors were demoralised long before the end, having failed to contain Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who scored one and had a hand in three others before he was substituted 19 minutes from the break.

Jo netted twice for the Toffees and Leon Osman got the other as Wigan's own quest for European qualification took a severe hit.
