Danny Rose scored the goal of his life on his first start for Tottenham. As the corner came in for Spurs Almunia cleared with what looked like a decent punch, but only punched it as far as Rose who struck an absolutely ferocious left footed volley from all of 25 yards which travelled like a missile into the roof of the net. A wonder goal on the youngsters big night. White Hart Lane was rocking with the strike.
